In February I offered an insight into the coming financial crisis period the United States entered the first week of March. Now we are seeing this crisis unfolding with alarming speed, volatility and consequences. This financially unstable period continues through the 2020’s. What will happen, what can happen?

Could these years lead to a recession or even a depression? A market correction is certain at the least, a recession to reorder the global economy is likely and a depression is only possible if this crisis period is prolonged through reactive or foolish policies.

Regardless of who the United States elected in November 2024, the US chart showed the importance of the wise, visionary leadership necessary to restructure the US economy and to rebalance the global economic system. A global economic system that increasingly rewards the global, wealthy elite with money, power, and few, if any, consequences for manipulating and exploiting the system leaving the poor and marginalized ever poorer is not a just, equitable system. It is not sustainable or humane.

The current responses from the US president and his economic team have been erratic, punitive, and unrealistic engendering reciprocal tariffs from other countries and trading partners and threatening world markets.

Yes, this adjustment period requires a scalpel not a chainsaw to achieve a more sustainable, more equitable trading system for all countries. Equally important is the need for a vision of a sustainable economic system that benefits the larger global community of workers and nations.  What is possible and necessary is a vision that imagines a potential beyond what we have ever seen or experienced in the past.

As the Aquarian Age continues to develop everything is happening fast-as fast as the current changes have exploded in the last 80+ days, as fast as the markets have ricocheted up and down, as fast as the news has whipsawed from one plan to another to another,  the global markets can stabilize equally quickly if a steady hand communicates a vision of mutual benefit.

Will Capitalism save us, is Capitalism the problem or can we move beyond that duality which only deepens the current polarization to a 21st century system of a revisioned capitalism for a 21st century global, interconnected, interdependent, economy that benefits all the people? The Aquarian Age requires the creation of this visionary, new economic system in which we all benefit from the creativity, talent, and innovation of all of us.
